Oman’s State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority recently took part in the 27th meeting of Deputy Heads of GCC Audit and Accounting Institutions, which was conducted via videoconference. The virtual gathering focused on several key initiatives, including the preparation for the upcoming 7th GCC Competition for Research and Studies in Auditing and Accounting. Additionally, there was a proposal to develop an artificial intelligence-powered platform intended to streamline the committee’s work and enhance its outcomes.
Throughout the meeting, participants also revisited recommendations that emerged from previous research competitions. These discussions aimed to build on past insights and drive improvements in the auditing and accounting fields across the GCC. The agenda included a review of the training programs that have been scheduled for the years 2025 and 2026, underscoring a commitment to ongoing professional development in the sector.
